He started the institute in 1999, with the aim that quality civil services guidance should be accessible to every student, especially students from Hindi-medium backgrounds. After clearing the Civil Services Exam in his first attempt, Dr. Divyakirti briefly served in the Ministry of Home Affairs. But he soon realised his passion is teaching. Then he started his own coaching institute, Drishti IAS. Over the years, Drishti IAS has grown from a small classroom to one of the most popular IAS institutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Vikas Divyakirti Early Life and Education<\/h2>\n\n\n\nDr. Vikas Divyakirti was born on 26 December 1973 in Bhiwani, Haryana. He grew up in an academic household.His father was a professor of Hindi literature at Maharshi Dayanand University, and his mother worked as a PGT teacher.This environment evoked deep respect for and teaching in Divyakirti\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Divyakirti pursued his higher education at Delhi University, from he also pursued his MA, MPhil, and eventually a PhD in Hindi Literature. He has also studied other subjectslike sociology, philosophy, law, and management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After his studies, he cleared the UPSC Civil Services Exam in 1996 in his first attempt and joined the civil service. He worked in the Ministry of Home Affairs for about a year.
